Sam Pizzigati, an associate fellow at the Institute for Policy Studies in Washington, D.C., has written extensively on corporate executive compensation and America's growing concentration of income and wealth. His analyses have appeared in the New York Times, the Washington Post, and other major newspapers across the United States, as well as in academic journals like the Labor and Employment Relations Association's Perspectives on Work.
Pizzigati's latest book, Greed and Good: Understanding and Overcoming the Inequality that Limits Our Lives (Apex Press), has been rated an "outstanding title" of the year by the American Library Association (Choice, January 2006).
A veteran labor journalist, Pizzigati spent 20 years directing the publishing operations of America's largest trade union, the 3.2 million-member National Education Association. He currently edits Too Much, an online weekly on excess and inequality.
