James McRitchie ColumnsIn 1995, James McRitchie developed a comprehensive site on corporate governance at www.CorpGov.Net. This popular portal both chronicles and facilitates developments in the field. According to the Council of Institutional Investors, McRitchie’s 2002 SEC petition "re-energized" the debate over proxy access to nominate directors. Now he is working on systems to allow retail shareholders to assign their proxies to trusted institutions. His articles have appeared in At Work, Business Ethics, The Corporate Board, Corporate Secretary, and International Corporate Governance. A keen observer, McRitchie is frequently quoted in the press and has addressed audiences in Asia and Europe, sponsored by business associations, the Asian Development Bank and the U.S. State Department.
