Don is a consulting actuary and principal of the consultant practice DC Consultants.  Until June 2005 he was a partner of the First Actuarial Consulting Team (FACT).  Don provides professional advice to sponsors of all types of qualified retirement plans, offering consulting service for plan design, funding and auditing requirements, as well as advice on statutory compliance issues. His primary consulting area of expertise is in the multi-employer field.  He also provides consulting services to major corporations and tax–exempt organizations.

Don’s professional career began in 1968 and has primarily been in the consulting field.  Immediately prior to joining FACT, he served as the multi-employer practice leader in the New York office of a major consulting firm.  For many years Don was Benefit Practice Leader with a global employee benefits consulting firm, and previously was responsible for the management of employee benefit plan consulting and administrative services for a major New York insurance company.

Don has been called upon to provide actuarial testimony for law firms and their clients.  Don has also served on the Pension Committee of the Actuarial Society of Greater New York, coordinating seminars on retirement-plan developments.

Don received his degree in mathematics from City College of New York and is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries, a Fellow of the Conference of Consulting Actuaries and a member of the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans (IFEBP).  He is also an Enrolled Actuary certified by the Joint Board of the US Department of Labor and Treasury.
